Continuum vs Microsoft Copilot: AI Built for Advisors

Microsoft Copilot is a general productivity assistant for Microsoft 365 users. Continuum is purpose-built for Canadian financial advisors. Copilot captures Teams meetings only; Continuum captures Teams, Zoom, Google Meet, phone calls, VoIP softphones and in-person meetings through the mobile app, per user, with no Microsoft 365 or Copilot licence required. Continuum integrates through native APIs and MCP only, including wealth CRMs and Conquest Planning, and pushes summaries and tasks with one click; Copilot has no wealth CRM integrations. Continuum adds advisor-tuned templates, Canadian financial vocabulary, smart client profiles and branded interactive client Pages. Both are SOC 2 Type II certified. Continuum is PIPEDA, OPC-aligned and CIRO-compliant with audit-logged consent and Canadian data residency by default; Copilot offers generic enterprise compliance and multi-geo residency that must be configured manually. Continuum starts at CA$79 per seat per month on an annual plan; Copilot is a US$30 licence on top of Microsoft 365.
